Summer League Sectional Notes

 

Summer Sectionals will be hosted August 1 and 2 at Peninsula Racquet Club in Palos Verdes

​

8 Total Divisions.

Divisions will be broken up: 4 play on Saturday, 4 play on Sunday.

​

For Saturday:

10U Green Ball, 12U L7, 14U L7, 14U L6

​

For Sunday:

12U L6, 18U L7 Co Ed, 18U L6 Co Ed, 18U L5 Co Ed

​

Format is as follows:

10U Green

6 Game Pro Set. 7 pt Breaker at 5 all, No Ad Scoring

12U and 14U

 8 Game Pro Set. 7 pt Breaker at 7 all, No Ad Scoring

18U

2 out of 3, Fast Four, No-Ad, winning game at 3 all,10 pt MTB for 3rd set

Party/Matches/Swag Bags

Matches will start at 8AM and be done by 5PM.

​

Pizza Party for all Player on Saturday. Taco Stand on Sunday.

​

Section winner banners for all teams, swag and giveaways for players. Rewilder medals and Championship tins for Sectional winners.

Registration

To register for Summer Sectionals, coaches must register their team first and then provide the team to players to sign up. Please follow instructions below, AFTER you have gotten the official invite from the JTT Manager of USTA SoCal. Invites will go out no later than July 26th. Draw will be posted no later than July 28th.

There is a refundable $50 deposit fee in case you don't show up. 

After registering the team, individual players sign up for the tournament as they would for a normal JTT Season using the link below. Entry Fee of $30.

We have 4 teams and each will have 6 matches. 

There are no Sectionals for the Orange Ball Teams. 

4th of July weekend has been skipped. 

 

10s Green Ball

We have 4 teams and each will have 6 matches. 

Sectionals will be the weekend of Aug 2-3

4th of July weekend has been skipped. 

 

12s L7

We have 5 teams and each will have 4 matches. The 5th match will be held on July 26 where 1st plays 2nd, 3rd plays 4th and the last place team will not have a last match unfortunately. 

Note on this last match, IF for example, the 1st place team is ahead by 10 games, then the 2nd place team must not only win the match, but also win by 11 games in order to take over as the first place team in the division.

18s L6 and L7

We have 2 flights with Blue and Red.

At the end of the season, we will see if we need to have our flight winners playoff to go to Sectionals the week of July 27.

Blue Flight

We have 4 teams and each will have 6 matches. 

 

Red Flight

We have 5 teams of Level 6. We have 1 team of Level 7 with South Bay.

South Bay L7 will automatically go to Sectionals.

All matches will count in order to get players qualified for sectionals. However, no matches that are played against the L6s and the L7 will count towards overall games won.

 

18s L5

We have 6 teams and each will have 5 matches.
